When in Trieste, you might notice hand rails and chains lining streets and buildings — you might even experience a particularly windy day, and notice, across the water, the Alps in their snowcapped splendor — all of these things are relevant to the iconic wind that makes up part of the Triestine DNA. The BORA Museum, is not quite yet a true museum, but more a collection of items gathered by Rino Lombardi, who is passionate about the famous wind that is almost uniquely identified with Trieste. Lombardi has amassed a collection of bottles containing winds from all over the world for which he confers upon people the title & certificate of “EOLIC AMBASSADOR”. While the Museum space (more of a small storage space in a residential building than actual Museum) may not be up to par, it is well organized and Lombardi’s knowledge is presented in an engaging manner.

La Bora e’ il vento iconico che fa parte del DNA triestino. Il Museo della Bora, non è ancora un vero e proprio museo, ma più una collezione di oggetti raccolti da Rino Lombardi, che è un’appassionato e dedica gran parte del suo tempo nel raccontare del famoso vento che è identificato univocamente con Trieste. Lombardi ha accumulato una collezione di bottiglie contenenti venti provenienti da tutto il mondo per il quale conferisce alle persone il titolo e certificato di “Ambasciatore Eolico”. Mentre lo spazio Museo (più uno scantinato in un edificio residenziale) potrebbe non essere alla pari, è abbastanza ben organizzato e la conoscenza di Lombardi sul tema è vasto, viene presentato in modo accattivante e di fatti ospita molti gruppi che vogliono conoscere la Bora.
