Just behind the Ospedale Maggiore there is a little oasis, it is l’annaffiatoio.  This small flower shop carries a surprisingly large selection of all natural and high quality plants with a sort of “shabby chic” vibe. Owned by Luisa Cividin, the shop has been around for over 30 years. Luisa’s mom started the shop and Luisa has been working there since she was a kid.

The flowers and plants are elegantly displayed and many delightful garden and housewares are strategically placed among them. One can buy loose stems, thoughtful and attractive flower arrangements pre-made or made-to-order. There is a definite “seasonal” feel to the displays and Luisa has a definite gift for arrangements.

What caught my eye in particular are the many natural live wreaths and garlands that one can buy or special order. I know where I’ll be getting my Christams greens this year!!
