May 9 – marks the start of LINK Festival del Buon Giornalismo This is the 6th edition of the Journalism Festival which is inherently tied to the region. Named in honor of the RAI journalists who lost their lives in the Balkan War covering the plight of children in the conflict, LINK is, well, “linked” to the Premio Luchetta the prestigious journalism award that recognizes reporters and photographers who shine a light on the smallest victims of violence, conflict and neglect. The festival lasts 4 days and features panels starting every day at 9:30am until 20:30 covering any number of current topics with popular international journalists and experts. It is always very well attended. You can see the program here and also tune into the streaming channel on youtube here. The event is FREE. Located in the big tent in the iconica Piazza Unita’.
